Rx Refill Policy.
Dr. Melissa is happy to refill your previously prescribed medications, but she does receive a large volume of calls and emails for medication refill requests and for that reason, prescription refill requests are best done within an appointment.
For each prescription refill completed outside of an appointment, there is a fee of $25.00.
Prior to your next appointment, please be sure to check your medications for necessary refills. It is much easier to have your medication refills taken care of while you are in an appointment with Dr. Melissa
For medication refill requests outside of an appointment:
- Allow at least 3 business days for Dr. Melissa to review your prescription refill request.
- The refill request must be for a medication you have previously discussed during an appointment with Dr. Melissa.
- To request your prescription, please include the following information in a direct email to Dr. Melissa:
- Your full legal name
- Your preferred pharmacy and their contact info
- The specific medication name, dosage, and how often you are taking it
Once your email has been received and completed by Dr. Melissa it will be faxed directly to your pharmacy and you will be contacted by admin staff for fee payment.
Please note: If a refill request is made but you are overdue for a follow-up appointment or in need of any necessary bloodwork to monitor the safety and effectiveness of your treatment, Dr. Melissa may agree to only refill your prescription for a brief duration of time until you are able to schedule an appointment.
